Why Zilvra925 Exists
Zilvra925 was born from a simple frustration: beautiful, well-made silver jewelry was either impossibly expensive or disappointingly cheap. Our founder, Maren Osei, spent years searching for pieces that felt special without carrying a luxury markup that excluded most people. Every time she found something she loved, the price tag made it unreachable. Every “affordable” option tarnished within weeks or turned her skin green. She knew there had to be a better way.
In 2019, Maren set out to build it herself. She traveled to silver workshops in Mexico, Thailand, and India, learning how the best artisans worked and what drove their costs up. She discovered that much of what customers paid for at traditional retailers wasn’t the jewelry itself — it was layers of middlemen, inflated branding, and outdated supply chains. She returned home convinced she could do things differently.
Zilvra925 launched later that year with a small collection of twelve rings. Each one was crafted from genuine 925 sterling silver — never plated, never alloyed with mystery metals. The response was immediate. Customers found pieces that lasted, that felt substantial in their hands, and that didn’t require a credit card sacrifice. Word spread. The collection grew. And a brand was born.

The Meaning Behind Our Name
“Zilvra” comes from the fusion of “zilvere,” an Old Dutch word for silver, and “artesanía,” the Spanish word for craftsmanship. We chose it because it captures exactly what we stand for: the marriage of precious material and human skill. The “925” is our promise — the internationally recognized hallmark for genuine sterling silver, meaning 92.5% pure silver content. When you see our name, you know what you’re getting.

Dear Zilvra community,
When I started this company, I was working a full-time job in marketing and building Zilvra925 on nights and weekends. I had no jewelry industry experience, no investors, and no guarantee anyone would care. What I had was a belief — that people deserved better than the options available to them.
I remember the first order that came from someone I didn’t know personally. It was a simple silver band, size 7, shipping to a town I’d never heard of. I packed it myself, triple-checked the clasp on the jewelry box, and drove it to the post office before work. That one order validated everything I’d been working toward.
Today, we’ve shipped to over forty countries and grown to a team of thirty-two people. But that feeling hasn’t changed. Every order represents someone choosing to trust us. We take that seriously. When you wear Zilvra925, you’re wearing the result of thousands of small decisions made with care. That’s not marketing language. That’s the truth.
